This classy, comfortable cafe offers classic dinner fare with a 1950s-style decor. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere while listening to the jukebox play all the famous oldies. A hanging chandelier illuminates the spectacular collection of memorabilia on the walls, and the noise level is just low enough to carry on a conversation. Dixie Cafe also happens to be one of the best deals in town. Entrees typically run under $8, which allows plenty of dough for an extra side order of fries, a fountain soda or a good old-fashioned malted.

used to eat there
I have eaten there many times over the years. These last two years have taught me once and again not to go back. Stupid me I keep thinking of how they used to be and trying to think I just caught them on another bad day. Bland food, poor service, small portions not worth $4 much less $8. Too bad because when they first opened it was pretty good. Someone told me they had a new manager in the last two years or so. I don't have a clue if that is correct, but if it is it sure shows.
So So cuisine
I agree with WolfvesM. Everyhing tastes the same. I think they use the same spice on all their food.
