For years, the Back Room has been recognized as the premier metal club in Austin. Equipped with a professional lighting system and probably the best sound in town, the Back Room is a class place to see your favorite rockers shake their manes and shred. The Back Room is also host to road shows as diverse as Public Enemy and Flock of Seagulls. With a sizable game room and great drink specials, the Back Room is always a good time, whether youre there to check out your favorite Kiss cover band or just to grab some pitchers.

great metal venue
The backroom is my favorite place to hang out, cheap pool, cheap drinks, and a great place to see shows, what more could you ask for?
good, cheap drinks
This is my favorite place in Austin to hang out, play pool, and have a few drinks. The drinks are really good, and very cheap! They come in cool glasses too. My only complaint is the staff is really weird....most that i've come into contact with have been rude and all they do is just walk around the place...like they have nothing to do. It kinda makes me nervous. At 2:00, they are VERY adamant about getting everyone out because they want to go home.

I started partying at 28 yrs old (after being tied with a male ball and chain) at the Back Room and been doing it for 12 years. Thanks! my training wheels are gone. Learn to play pool there and now hustle a game now and then. Keep on rocking!
